Sacred Music at Notre Dame is excited to announce Jerry Blackstone as a guest faculty member.

 

Grammy award winning conductor Jerry Blackstone will be a Visiting Professor at Notre Dame for the next two years, 2024-25 and 2025-26. He will be contributing to teaching the graduate students in the Sacred Music MSM and DMA programs. Jerry is Professor of Music Emeritus at the University of Michigan, with an impressive background that can be found here.

Those looking to enter into the choral conducting studio may wish to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to study under Jerry. All Masters and Doctoral students in the program are fully funded. Every conducting student conducts a recital each year they are in the program, as well as gains valuable working experience in the Notre Dame Children’s Choir. Performances spaces available to conducting students include those in O’Neill Hall and the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center
