SMND Alum Publishes Article on the Late Professor Carmen Téllez’s Conducting Pedagogy

Brandon Hollihan, DMA ’20, has published an article in The Choral Journal, an Official Publication of the American Choral Directors Association, vol. 64/4 (November/December 2023) pp. 18-35.

Entitled “‘Tempo is Affect, Duration is Drama’: The Conducting Methodology of Carmen-Helena Téllez,” the article describes six principles that guided the late Professor Carmen Téllez’s teaching of graduate Conducting students in the Sacred Music program at Notre Dame. It can be read here.
