Joseph Oparamanuike

MSM - Conducting

Joseph Oparamanuike is a Conducting Student of MSM at University of Notre Dame. He previously studied Master of Music in Opera and Post Graduate Diploma in Performance (Singing) at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, (RCS) through the RCS Trust Fund Scholarship under the tutelage of Scott Johnson. He studied Chemical Engineering in his first degree and holds LRSM in Singing and Diploma of ABRSM in Vocal Teaching.

He founded Comic Opera House in Nigeria and he was the first Head of Opera at the Musical Society of Nigeria where he has conducted and sung several operas and oratorios. He was the Music Director of the Archdiocesan Choir of The Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, St. Agnes Catholic Church, Maryland, etc.

As an opera singer he has sung Ernesto Don Pasquale, Count Almaviva Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Rodolfo La Boheme, Tonio La Fille Du Regiment, Tamino Die Zauberflöte, Nemorino L’Elisir D’Amore, Prunier La Rondine, Tito La Clemenza di Tito, etc.
