Prof. Carmen-Helena Téllez has been invited to serve as a member of the Standing Committee for Research and Publications of the American Choral Directors Association. She will serve for the next four years. Under the new ACDA committee structure, the Research and Publications committee will continue its ongoing work with monographs, the Herford Award, and symposia on repertoire and performance practices, while expanding its interest in the application of technology to research, and in the integration of research with performance in all areas of choral music. Professor Téllez was the winner of the Herford Award in 1991.
