In this lecture for the Liturgical Studies Colloquium, musicologist and liturgical historian Margot Fassler introduces the work she has been completing for the two-volume book: Liturgical Life and Latin Learning at Paradies bei Soest, 1300-1425: Inscription and Illumination in the Choir Books of a North German Dominican Convent (Aschendorff). This interdisciplinary study has been co-authored by a team of four scholars, including Fassler: Jeffrey Hamburger (Harvard University), Eva Schlotheuber (University of Düsseldorf), and Susan Marti (Bernisches Historisches Museum).
