Owen Peck Headshot 1

MSM student Owen Peck presents his second-year conducting recital, "Songs of the Soul," featuring sacred music from the Renaissance to the present day depicting the human soul in different emotional states: joy, sorrow, longing, and transformation. The music explores these themes through familiar liturgical texts including the Magnificat, Tenebrae Responsories, and Psalm 42, as well as mystical poetry by St. John of the Cross. The recital will be performed by Concordia Vocal Ensemble of Sacred Music at Notre Dame and guest string artists. Featuring works by Charpentier, Gesualdo, Gjeilo, Howells, MacMillan, and Monteverdi.

This performance will be live-streamed.

The program can be viewed here.

This event is free and open to the public.
