Justin Appel 2nd Year Dma Recital

Sacred Music is Holding Open/Walk-IN Auditions for our Choirs Sunday, August 21 from 3-8PM & Monday, August 22 from 11-8PM in the Malloy Hall Chapel.

Concordia Vocal Ensemble is Notre Dame's only semi-professional choral ensemble dedicated to sacred music. Comprising graduate and undergraduate vocalists from Sacred Music at Notre Dame, the Department of Music, and across the entire University, all singers with music-reading experience are encouraged to apply. Concordia will perform four concerts this fall including a recital this September where the audience and choir will be plunged into total darkness. In the spring, Concordia will perform Carl Orff's Carmina Burana with full orchestra at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. The Concordia tours during semester breaks and is led by Dr. Mark Doerries.

Repertory Choir Choral Scholars serve as the preparatory choir for graduate choral conducting students from Sacred Music at Notre Dame. The ensemble meets twice a week and is led by conducting graduate students who practice their conducting and rehearsal technique. This ensemble does not perform. All singers with music-reading experience are encouraged to apply. Notre Dame undergraduate students have the opportunity for Tuition Scholarship Awards of $400 for participating each semester.
