Katrina L. Keat and the musicians of Sacred Music at Notre Dame will perform a recital at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church entitled "Death and Resurrection". The program will feature Messe de Requiem by André Campra, and Exsultate, Jubilate KV 165 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Campra’s Requiem, a nearly complete setting of the mass for the dead, is an opportunity not only to pray for the loved ones lost in past years, but to contemplate on our own mortality. Followed by Mozart’s exhilarating motet, we are reminded that death is not the end of life and happiness, but the beginning of eternal joy.
