Biss is also an admired and respected author and lecturer on the repertoire he loves. His bestselling eBook, Beethoven’s Shadow, published by RosettaBooks in 2011, was the first Kindle Single written by a classical musician, and he will continue to add lectures to his popular online course, Exploring Beethoven’s Piano Sonatas, until he covers all of them. He brings this scholarly side of his work to the rollout weekend through participation in a panel discussion with ND music faculty on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm, as a capstone to the rollout celebration.
