-

Location: 136 O'Neill Hall, LaBar Performance Hall

Dr. Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, mezzo-soprano, who was a member of the world renowned vocal quartet Anonymous 4 from 2000-2015, will present a clinic on Vocal Technique for Choral Singing in two sessions. These sessions will assist both singers and conductors by exploring concepts and techniques that facilitate healthy and artistic singing in vocal ensembles. Dr. Horner-Kwiatek recorded twelve award-winning CD’s with Anonyomus 4, including a featured solo performance of the Irish lament “Caoineadh” on Christopher Tin’s album Calling All Dawns, which led to a Grammy for Best Classical Music Crossover Album. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of ModernMedieval (modernmedieval.org), a new female vocal ensemble in which she is joined by singers from Roomful of Teeth, and which fosters collaborative projects featuring early music in conjunction with music from later periods and newly commissioned works.
