For their first year recital, soprano Victoria Fraser and mezzo soprano Gabriela Estephanie Solis will present the rarely-performed Tilge, Höchster, meine Sünden, BWV 1083. This transcription of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater by J.S. Bach will be performed with a period instrument ensemble led by Daniel Stein on violin, Elliott Smith on harpsichord, and Caleb Wenzel on organ.
The program will additionally include art song repertoire accompanied my Mona Coalter, piano, and will represent a diverse range of composers including Schubert, Schumann, Holst, Fauré, Debussy, and Quilter.
The recital takes place in the Chapel of the Sacred Heart at Moreau Seminary on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 7:30 PM. The event is free and open to the public.
