Saint Cecilia: Veneration Through the Ages
A concert featuring works by Purcell, Haydn, Gounod, and Howells
"I had such a wonderful expeirence with the Handel, that I decided to look deeper into the repertory. This concert features pieces written for St. Cecilia's day, or on texts about her, spanning over 300 years. In between pieces, I'll add background on the "happenings" in each of the classical periods covered, and look toward her future in the era of modern composition..."
