Professor Carmen-Helena Téllez, head of the Conducting Studio of the Sacred Music Program will conduct in the Cello Fest in honor of Professor Karen Buranskas, who retires from Notre Dame this year. The program of iconic works for cello orchestra includes Julius Klengel's Hymnus and Heitor Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5, with guest soprano Megan Dewald. The concert will take this Sunday, November 22 at 2 pm in the Leighton Concert Hall of the DeBartolo Center. It is a free but ticketed event.
