The 2015–2016 Presenting Series season of the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center opens with Cuarteto Tanguero in their program "Tango Insomnia." Featuring the sensuous footwork of Tango World Champions Fernanda Ghi and Guillermo Merlo, the wicked sharp quartet of Ben Bogart (bandoneon), Daniel Stein (violin), Daniel Inamorato (piano) and Matt McConahay (bass) expertly introduces traditional Argentine tango to a growing audience. A Milonga—social dancing—after party immediately follows!

This ensemble’s academic approach to researching and synthesizing the cultural context and history of the art form sets the stage for an essential experience of the poetry, jokes and physicality as a completely contemporary vehicle for self-expression to first-timers without changing what die-hard tango fans love. Kicking off the DPAC Big 3 series celebrating Latin and Afro-Latin music, a Milonga after party for ticket holders immediately follows, where the quartet will return to play live, for the audience to enjoy social dancing, a cash bar and finger foods.
