This vocal chamber concert conducted by Justin Appel features an all-male ensemble, and explores motets of lamentation from the golden age of Renaissance polyphony. The program revolves around the magisterial two-part Lamentations of Jeremiah by Tudor-era composer Thomas Tallis (1505-1585), and includes motets by Cristóbal de Morales (1500-1553) and Josquin de Prez (c. 1450-1521).
