This concert of baroque vocal works (Handel "Gloria," Vivaldi "Nulla in Mundo," & Bach Cantata BWV 199), performed by guest soprano Awet Andemicael with chamber orchestra, will explore theological themes of glory and transformation. As a concert and operatic soprano, Awet Andemicael has sung at festivals and concert venues across North America, Europe, and Japan. She has received music awards from numerous organizations, including the Metropolitan Opera National Council, the Lee Schaenen Foundation, and the Oratorio Society of New York. Active as a performer, writer, consultant, and educator, Ms. Andemicael works primarily at the intersection of music and theology.
