Listen to guest soprano Alissa Rose perform a brief program of German art songs and sacred repertoire, followed by her teaching a master class for vocal performance students in the MSM program.

Described as "perky....amazing...hitting notes that could shatter glass" (Billings Outpost), soprano Alissa Rose' multi-faceted career has taken her around the United States and abroad. She made her Carnegie Hall debut as a soloist with the American Composers Orchestra in the world premiere of Myrrha, by Kristin Kuster, and spent three years in Germany, where she sang at the State Theaters in Osnabrück, Münster, and Bielefeld, as well as singing with the West German Radio Chorus. A graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, the School of Music, Theatre & Dance at the University of Michigan, and the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, Germany, Dr. Rice is currently an Assistant Professor of Music at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania.
