Professor of Organ Kola Owolabi will perform this Friday February 11 at 8pm, to inaugurate the new Martin Pasi organ, opus 28, at St. George's Episcopal Church in Arlington, VA.
The program will include the premiere of Brenda Portman's two-movement suite, Aspects of Light, commissioned for the inauguration of this organ and inspired by the stained glass windows in the church. The piece incorporates the Gregorian chant melodies Conditor alme siderum and Visionem quam vidistis.
