Sacred Music DMA candidate Nico Tjoelker was selected as one of six distinguished artists for the 2024 Haarlem International Organ Festival’s Excellence Class Program from July 15-26. Located just outside of Amsterdam, Haarlem is home to the largest international organ festival in Europe: a wellspring of organ culture at the cutting edge of contemporary improvisation and historical performance interpretation. As part of the Excellence Class, Nico will perform in the esteemed Excellence Showcase Recital and collaborate one-on-one with some of Europe’s most renowned organists and scholars including Olivier Latry, Wolfgang Zerer, Monika Melcová, Jean-Baptiste Robin, among many others.
